Awesome blossom, my father in law is the guest speaker for Glad Tidings Revival Service (GTRS)’s Live@5 tomorrow and on Sunday’s GTYC Talk @bout Sunday.

The focus will be on him and how he has made an impact in the Market Place and all his successful career. His story is amazing one, where he literally climbed the corporate ladder from the bottom and made it up all the way. Formerly he was the Managing Director of Ogilvy & Mather – and i remember at that time how he took a product and build that product and brand up, till now its a household name with everyone Malaysia… Can you guess the product? Its MILO! Presently he now sits as the Executive Director of Spenser Azizul Advertising.

Wow.. i just stumbled on Janice’s Myspace. Really proud of you, Janice! Great site!

She’s really artistic, can sing, can dance, can draw, can design. And of course she sings in our church and acts in our church dramas too! 🙂

She was recently starring in a local musical broadway too called Broken Bridges, Malaysian musical written by Lim Chuang Yik and Teng Ky-Gan. And last year she and a group called Hodge Podge won the Best Song Composition at the M&M’s
Battle of the Bands 2005.

Space Ship-like – Calvary Convention Centre

Wow.. check out the Building, it really looks coool and space ship like. This is one really cool looking place that Calvary Church is building. Its amazing and looks awesome too .. Great Job and Blessings to all the Calvarites!! Hope u guys will have a great Fair next weekend!!

Church to raise RM100m for centre (Click for Star Article)

PETALING JAYA: The Calvary Church of Kuala Lumpur is holding a funfair to raise funds for its RM100mil convention centre. 

For a start, Calvary Carnival ’06 on Sept 16 at the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort is targeted at raising RM500,000. 

The Calvary Convention Centre, to be located beside the resort, is expected to cost RM100mil, excluding land cost of RM35mil.  

Jim Guneratnam, administrative executive of Project Calvary Convention Centre technical committee, said the land had been paid for in full. 

“We will look at how we will furnish it when the building is completed three years after earthworks begin,” he said, adding that earthworks were expected to begin before the year was over. 

When completed, the six-storey multiplex will have total built-up of about 600,000sq ft.  

The focal point of the centre will be an auditorium that seats 5,000, facilities for staging musical productions complete with orchestra pit and backstage facilities that include dressing rooms, lounge, prayer hall and storage space. 

Other components of the complex include educational facilities comprising lecture halls, childcare nursery, and libraries for adults and children. 

Other features of the project are a banquet hall, a multi-purpose community and recreational hall, a cafeteria and bookshop, hostel and guest apartments. It will also have a three-level car park.  

Guneratnam said the convention centre would be dedicated to holistic activities. 

“It will have the facilities to host international, regional and national conventions, banquets, seminars and creative performing arts. At the same time, it is devoted to the educational, vocational and spiritual development of this country’s young generation,” he added. 

Guneratnam said although the centre would be church property, it was meant for the community at large.  

“Other churches can use these facilities. Musicals and other wholesome activities can be held there,” he said. 

This is the second major fund raiser for the project. The first was a dinner-cum-musical that raised RM1mil in 2004. 

A crowd of about 8,000 is expected at the fun fair that would have 60 stalls offering food and beverages, games and knick-knacks.

shopping N sales – see what i did !!! :)

Guess what i did?  Finally did something that i was thinking about for a pretty long time.

Really thanks to many of you who emailed me stuff, and help me get info on Sales, Promotions and Warehouse Sales information.

I’ve always wanted to put all these Sales, Warehouse Sales together in one place, so that it will be easier to see and have a one stop place to view what’s available for that period.

The irritating fact is that most of the great warehouse sales or clearance sales are not always in the newspaper, so its mostly depended on word of mouth advert or via emails forwarded from one person to another.

And also ….. cos so many times we always hear from friends on great bargains – like the recent Diethlem Sale and by the time we go and visit it, all the products habis! so so so sad. Why? becos the info was not circulated earlier. Sigh!
