Nathanael is Seizure Free

Filed under: Daren, DEETEE, Nathanael, Tiff — delephant @ 1:52 pm

Awesome News! Praise GOD !!!We were so glad today when we got the news from HUKM, after intepreting the EEG report, they declared that

 Nathanael is Seizure FREE!!

Praise GOD!! Thank You JESUS!!

For those of you who are reading this for the first time, you will need to read about his Medical Condition first and view all his seizures that he used to have on his Fits Diary; to understand the JOY of receiving that news from the doctors.

We started Nathanael on the Ketogenic Diet in September 2006 and poor Nathanael had to spent his Second Birthday in hospital undergoing treatment and change of diet. But thankfully the Ketogenic Diet worked, and he is now well.

The Doctors said that we can now start weaning Nathanael off his anti epileptic drugs that he’s on. Nathanael is currently on TWO AED.

In November 2006, we did an EEG Report at the hospital, and that was 1 1/2
months after starting the Ketogenic Diet. The doctor recently intepreted the
report for us and informed us that there was such an improvement, but they still saw Seizure activity when Nathanael was sleeping.

Download the Nov 2006 EEG Report here

And in December 2006, we went to another hospital and did another EEG Report. And we just received the report today stating that Nathanael is Seizure Free!! That he is normal both asleep and awake!! Prasie GOD!!!!

Download the Dec 2006 EEG Report here

Thank you so much for praying for Nathanael, and we know that your Prayers have worked! Thank you for showering your love, hope, support and continuous words of encouragement.

We continue to ask you to keep praying for Nathanael, now we need to pray and ask GOD to work on his overall development skills. We are so thankful that he has made one big step in being able to SIT on his own and join us to pray as we help him in his therapy sessions to be able to Stand, Walk and Jump!!

Woo Hoo …. We are going to Macau & Hong Kong for our Company Trip

Filed under: Daren, DEETEE, MandarinOriental — delephant @ 1:51 am

Hee hee … gonna have to betray wordpress again. Gonna use blogger for my upcoming trip to Macau and Hong Kong. 🙂

I am really glad to work at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.

This year our Management Retreat will be bringing us to the shores of Hong Kong. And we will also have the privilege to cross over to Macau for some fun Team Building exercises!!

This will be a fun and exciting trip. Six of us are actually going one day earlier for a business trip and the others will join us a day later and we will start our time of bonding and fun”ning” (if there’s such a word) together-gether.

We’ll be of course staying at the Mandarin Oriental Macau and in Hong Kong at one of the busiest intersections of Causeway Bay … at the Excelsior Hong Kong.

We’ll be travelling this Wednesday (31 Jan) right up to Sunday (4 Feb).

Hopefully I can get some internet connections .. and i hope my camera don’t die again. Hopefully can take some fun fun shots on this trip.

Oh yeah.. who’s going? The Executive Committee and the Deparment Heads level A. I think there’s about 20 of us altogether. 🙂

Check back sometime mid week .. hopefully the blog will be filled with PICS!! 🙂

Johor Flood Relief – Stevie’s Journey To Johor

Filed under: DEETEE, Events, GladTidings — delephant @ 1:47 am

This is a follow up POST to the previous on what one of our church members (Stevie) experienced when he went down with a team of 51 to Johor last Saturday to help. You can read it all at – Johor flood relief

Here’s an excerpt . . .

7 of us went down to Johore yesterday for a recce trip and came away not only quite satisfied with the result, but also a little overwhelmed with the amount of things to be done over the next few weeks. We touched base with the local church in Kluang as well as Yong Peng, but we didn’t go into the critical areas. Kota Tinggi was still inaccessible as well as some orang asli villages. Segamat and Batu Pahat were also hot spots hit.

In Kluang, we worked with Project Eden, an interdenominational group supported by 16 churches, and they had a distribution centre, where they would cart the goods and supplies to villages. The Kluang area has receded, and as we drove through the roads, we saw people sunning and cleaning their furniture, mattresses and stuff. We also saw the rubbish and dirt brought in by the river, and broken roads by the river side. While the river was now docile, and I was glad for it, the curious side of human nature wondered how it would be like if it rained, and wanted the opportunity to experience it. Probably the same curious nature of Malaysians that makes us want to stop by the road to see a kemalangan.

Poem : Waiting for Lunch

Filed under: DEETEE, Poem, Revenue — delephant @ 12:16 pm

This poem construed by Cheah resulted after a long lapse of no Revenue Manager’s Lunch! 🙂

We also said our Good Byes to Nayan who has moved on to a Regional role in UK.

Waiting for Lunch

As the month goes by,
And the weeks seemed to fly,
Waiting for Lunch made me sigh,
Even the Heavens seemed to cry.

12 times a year, now reduced to 4,
It can’t be that gatherings are a bore,
In fact I wanted more,
Perhaps next time even a dance floor.

Let’s do something, I said
A call to Yan I made,
He was previously excited although late,
Now the world waits,
For him to fix a date

Feb 3rd will be his 3rd month arrival anniversary,
Let’s help him celebrate and be merry,
Yan, make sure there are also some Irish Whisky
or at worst, a Bloody Mary

Guys, my parents are not millionaire,
And I don’t invest in equity share,
But I have to live my life with dare
For nobody else will care
Once I have re-located somewhere,
and have no friends there.

So as “Parisa Hilton” once said
before she got laid
Live life great
Live until your dues are paid
Get Yan to commit a date…….

“Printed with reference to our re-located friend, having a ball of time in London now.”
