Hmmm… the protest would look scarry if you didnt know what was happening

Filed under: Bad, DEETEE, News — delephant @ 3:43 pm

The 39th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting is happening at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, KLCC. There’s a group of individuals who are just protesting …. hmm.

According to Malaysia Kini, its a peaceful protest, where the police have already given a permit for this protest to take place for a fixed period of time yesterday and today.  http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/54537

But i guess for foreigners coming to our country, they may be shocked or scared to see all these people standing around, waving flags, shouting into megaphones. Yeah .. it may leave a bad impression of our peaceful and united Muhibbah nation. sigh!!!!!

[Err they even have a banner that says “Zionist Are Terrorists” … amazingly it rhymes!]

Anyway, I hope this doesn’t slow or bring down the many many toursits that are now coming to our country … esp during the festive Summer month and the Mega Sale!!

Here’s a couple of photos taken nearby. 🙂

  1. now i see the difference, can you?

one protest by the opposition on the raise of fuel price, which is a problem faced by every middle class downwards citizen of Malaysia … they were branded as riots

but one from the coalition party, which is protesting for some injustice which is a quarter earth away … not saying i am into wars or anything, but who was the one started it with all the suicide bombers and public bombings? ok that aside, but the thing has nothing that we can do about it … but they are branded as a peaceful protest?

double standards priacticed here – i wonder if anyone is holding a peaceful protest for double standard practice here …

  2. YEah man!! You are right!
Sigh … whatever the name they use. Let’s see what comes out in our newspapers tomorrow! 😉

I am just concern that it will impact on our Tourism sector which is a big contributor to our economy. Well, let’s hope its mentioned politically correct in our newspapers.

  4. To earl-ku

Yes… let’s protest about the raise in subsidized petrol prices – oh no, maybe we will have to be more fuel efficient than everyone driving THEIR OWN non-fuel efficient car by themselves totally unnecessarily sometimes.

Whereas, War? AH WHO CARES People die as long as it’s not my own family?

And your “but who was the one started it with all the suicide bombers and public bombings” – It was not Iranians who did this. It was Al Qaeda. Al Q are not in Iran. You’re so ignorant it’s kinda sickening. What, you think just because some individuals from the middle east did it, so an entire non-related middle eastern country should suffer?

Oh heck, why not let them come blow up Malaysia seeing as we also had some terrorist cell activity here.

What to do? Working lah. It was the best i could do. Plus who carries a camera every you go?

This was taken by my little Sony Ericsson K750i! At least can see some pictures-la. Those zoomed shots unfortunately are really grainy!!

I am sure there are more pictures now on the web, cos we saw many people taking photos and videos of it.
