We watched Superman Returns over the weekend. It was actually very entertaining and the two hours passed pretty fast. It wasn’t like King Kong… where i was looking at the watch.. errrr when will this end. It was more like whooosh… the time just flew and the story was really entertaining.

But that’s not the reason for this blog. You can watch it and find it entertaining too.

Superman

After the movie….. we kept going like this:

I think the movie director or script writer was a Christian or whether it was intentionally put in or unintentionally put in… cos the words the themes that was runned in the background of the movie was like this.

  • The World needs a Savior (but of course they were refering to superman in the movie, but the term savior was used … not a commonly used term for a super hero!)
  • A lot of innuendo of “the Father and the Son”
  • Then the scene of Superman in the hospital was similarly drawn to the story of Jesus in the  Tomb, on who went in to visit him and how the others found it later (can’t reveal too much, it may spoil your movie experience)
  • and some others …..

Let me know if you feel the same after watching the movie. No doubt very entertaining. The best scene was when Superman saves the Boeing 777 plane … really great effects there. Was trying to find the pic… but can’t seem to locate it on Google Images and on their main site. Anyway.. watch out for it!

Superman – they even put in a lame script in the middle of the movie. Is it a bird, is it a plane? no its superman! 🙂

  1. I watched it twice and will be watching it for the third time. Not that it’s the greatest superhero movie ever, I’m just a sucker for Superman! Agreed that the Boeing scene was amazing!

  3. interesting that you say that – we all see what we want to see. some critics in the us have claimed that the writer/director/producer made superman out to be gay (the apparent running theme of many of last year’s movies), which he flatly denies.
