Diretor of Revenue Dinner at Lemon Garden, Shangri-La

Filed under: DEETEE, Daren, Football, Fun, Hotel, Revenue — delephant @ 2:57 pm

This is a regular meet of the industry folks (most of the Director of Revenue of Malaysia), we gather at one hotel and just makan and chat. Its a pretty cool thingy cos

  • We get to eat at Five Star hotels
  • Its Free
  • And we get to talk about stuff that we all love… Revenue Management (NOT!!)

Anyway, yesterday our Host was Cheah HC, Director of Revenue Management of the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

In one of our avid discussion, Football came into the conversation.

… who watch this match ?

… who is for this team ?

… did u see that goal ?

Then came the ultimatum! … Do you like football?
Believe it or not? But all of us (that was seated around me) said No to Football! Ha! Ha! And we're all guys! Oh no!! I guess we love number crunching, excel spreadsheets and formulating strategies in making more revenue… :)

Anyway… initially i thought it was only me. But came to realize that there's a bunch of us out there who loves our job .. and not into Football. Coincedence? Hmm mebbe not.

The next dinner we have..i will make sure we take some photos … so u can meet this great bunch of people.

WHO WAS THERE?

Cheah (Shangri-La)
Mira (Shangri-La)
Manisa (Shangri-La)
Peter Wong (Ritz Carlton)
Anthony Lu (Hilton KL)
HK (Hilton KL)
Ranjan (Crowne Plaza)

Down, Sad ? … Be uplifted with Israel Houghton’s worship

Israel Houghton

Been speaking to couple of people. What do you do when things don’t really go the way you expected or if you’re down in the dumps?

I love the fact that i drive to work each day. And in the 45 mins or so, worshipping in the car is just awesome. Singing praises and just putting Christ first in all things are just the best thing to do always. So I recommend if you’re down or things are not going your way, try to Worship.

Then you may ask which CD should i listen to? Try this CD by Israel Houghton, Alive in Africa.

I’ve been totally ministered, blest and so encouraged by the words and worship that Israel Houghton & New Breed have been leading in their recent album – Alive in South Africa.

Its amazing, the songs are just so great and the words are from the Bible and the Words just jumps out at you.

My fav songs are : Turn It Around, Still Standing, (I simply just love the medley he did for)  New Season to Friend of God and He Still Knows My Name.

Lyrics : Turn It Around

Verse1

All things are possible for You

All things are possible

Nothing’s too difficult for You

Nothing’s too difficult

Pre-Chorus

I’m ready for change

Ready for rain

Ready for favor

I know You’re able to

Chorus

Turn it around

Open the windows of heaven

Pour out a blessing overflow

Turn it around

Open the windows of heaven

Pour out a blessing

We cannot contain it

Let it rain

Bridge

You have turned my mourning to dancing

You’ve turned my sorrow to joy

You have turned my whole life around

And I thank You

I thank You Lord

Outrage over abduction, rape

Well i hope everyone would be angry about what is happening in our neighbourhood and really take the initiative and preventive measures esp at the shopping malls to help curb this.

Perhaps instead of just putting CCTV at all exit points, but to also have active Security patrolling single ladies out to their cars. This may give more sense of security to their shoppers and hence give the malls a better reputation of safe & soundness.
